Apple is coming out with not just three variants for the Apple Watch face but also a bunch of bands for each of the watch faces. The Apple Watch accessories page on Apple.com has already been updated with some of these bands. This gives us an idea of how dramatically different the watch bands are going to be. 38mm Apple Watch Band Prices #1. Sport Band – $49 #2. Milanese Loop – $149 #3. Classic Buckle – $149 #4. Modern Buckle (both small and large) – $249 #5. Link Bracelet – $449 42mm Apple Watch Band Prices #1. Sport Band – $49 #2. Milanese Loop – $149 #3. Leather Loop – $149 #4. Classic Buckle – $149 #5. Link Bracelet – $449 The 38mm Watch Sport starts at $349 and the band for that is $49. That gives the Watch face a value of $300. Similarly, the 42mm is worth about $350. With the Watch Sport edition, you can only use the Sport Band ($49 value; multiple colors). You can’t add other bands to this edition and this is more in keeping with the aesthetic and utility of the Watch Sport. The Watch, on the other hand, can be fitted with a variety of bands ranging from the classic buckle ($149) to the Milanese loop ($149) to the stainless steel Link Bracelet ($449). It’s strange to think that a band can set you back by as much as $450 or more but that’s the way it is. The accessories page will probably be updated shortly (and in the coming weeks) with more bands and options.
